The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) made an announcement that they have signed a special bilateral agreement with the Danish Gambling Authority. The agreement will stand as a formal basis for future cooperation between the two governmental online gaming licensing bodies.

According to the terms of the agreement, it will come into effect once the Danish Gaming Act is formally implemented. The AGCC entered into a similar agreement this past January with the Nevada Gaming Board. The Nevada Gaming Board’s primary focus is in the areas of industry standards, compliance and, of course, investigations.

There has been a growing trend in the online gaming industry to develop Memorandums of Understanding between different licensing and regulatory bodies governing online gaming. Recently, a similar agreement was signed between Italy’s AAMS and France’s ARJEL.
